Q: What is SmartHealthBuyer?
SmartHealthBuyer works with practitioners in order to provide you with the best value and pricing for your non-covered, elective, and alternative healthcare needs. Our website allows you to compare multiple practitioners in your area by reviewing practitioner profiles, procedure details, practitioner reviews, and pricing for alternative and non-covered services. SmartHealthBuyer’s goal is to put you in touch with a practitioner that is right for you by providing you with detailed information so that you can make informed decisions, saving you time and money.
Q: How much does it cost?
There are NO membership fees or costs to join.
Q: How does it work?
Use our search tool to find detailed information for practitioners in your area. You can then review detailed profile information for each practitioner, such as years in practice, patient reviews, languages spoken, gender, location, price, or a combination of all of the above. This allows you to compare the services offered and purchase procedures from our network of practitioners. If there are no SmartHealthBuyer practitioners offering services in your area, our database will find the average cost of your desired healthcare treatment and display a local directory of practitioners, saving you time and money!
Q: How do I purchase a procedure?
When purchasing a procedure you place an initial down payment in order to hold the procedure and price. The remaining balance for the selected procedure is collected by the practitioner only if you choose to move forward with the procedure after initial consultation.
Q: How do I schedule a procedure?
After the initial down payment is collected, you will be sent an email confirming your order details and containing the contact information of the Practitioner’s office in order to schedule an appointment.
Q: What if there are no practitioners in my zip code?
If you cannot find a practitioner in your zip code for the services you desire, check surrounding ZIP codes. If there are no practitioners in your area, don’t worry! You have one year to use your credit. Currently we are building out a practitioner network for all verticals and zips. If you would like to suggest a practitioner to include into our network, please let us know.
Q: I have a credit on my account. How does that work?
Your credit amount is applied to the down payment of any procedure or service you choose. The cost of the down payment is debited for your credit account. For example, if the down payment is $25 dollars and you have $100 dollars in your credit account, you can apply $25 dollars to the down payment, leaving you with $75 dollars of credit remaining in your account. You have up to one year to use your credit and your credit can be used for any procedure.
Q: What if the practitioner informs me I need additional treatments or other procedures during the initial consultation?
If the practitioner informs you that you need additional treatments or other procedures during the initial consultation, it is your choice to continue with the suggested treatment. If you choose not to move forward, your down payment will be refunded.
Q: What if I am not comfortable with the practitioner?
If you are not comfortable with the practitioner or procedure requirements after initial consultation, you do not have to move forward with the intended treatment. Your down payment will be refunded.
