My goal is to empower people to allow wellness into their lives. I want people to realize that they can re-gain control of their own health. My approach is treating every individual with a holistic model of mind, body and spirit. It is a team based approach of the client and the healthcare provider. I incorporate the training I received in clinical sciences and pathology with the philosophy of Naturopathic Medicine- it is a union of biological science with a belief in the body’s innate healing ability.

My focus is on correcting nutritional deficiencies and using the science of botanical medicines to help the body correct its imbalances and to re-introduce equilibrium, the most natural state and the least accepted. I don’t believe that living with dis-ease is normal.
Education:
Sarah has received training in essential oils, herbal therapy and whole food supplements. She is a graduate of the accredited four year post-graduate program in naturopathic medicine at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. This program includes 1300 hours of clinical experience along with a demanding scientific curriculum comparable to conventional medical training.

Sarah has passed her national licensing board exams which consisted of questions regarding clinical diagnosis, laboratory methods, pharmacology, nutrition and natural healing methodology. She holds her license in Vermont, as New York State does not currently recognize Naturopathic Doctors as primary care physicians. Sarah is also certified in Applied Kinesiology and holds a BA in psychology from SUNY Geneseo.

Assessment of emotional well being includes a discussion of the patients lifestyle, current stressors and overall mental state. An assessment along with recommendations and suggestions will be given to the patient, at the culmination of the visit, along with a referral for laboratory testing if necessary.
